Our story
“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.”
2 Timothy 2:2 NASB
The Timothy Project was formed in 2021 in memory of IMB missionary, Jim Flora, who served faithfully among the Basotho beginning in 2009.
The Timothy Project will be used to provide biblical training for young men in the mountains of Lesotho and eSwatini. Less than 2% of the mountain Basotho have a clear understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what is necessary to receive salvation. Most have never heard a clear gospel presentation.
Our goal is that the gospel will continue to advance throughout these two countries and ultimately to the ends of the earth. The hope is to produce active reproducible churches that eagerly share the gospel and make disciples. All for the glory of God, until all have heard.
*The Timothy Project aligns with the Southern Baptist denomination in doctrine and practice.
